Ivan Trojan, a well-known Czech actor, will have the opportunity to play basketball for the Opava team. This won’t be the first time Trojan has tried his hand at sports. In June 2009, he played for seven minutes in the last round of the second football league for Bohemians 1905, a team he supports. Now, he will get a chance to play basketball, a sport he was involved in during his youth, thanks to Opava’s coach and his friend, Petr Czudek. Trojan has been preparing for the game for some time now and even travels to Opava for training sessions.
Trojan expressed his excitement about the upcoming basketball game, stating that it means more to him than his football match for Bohemians 1905. He considers basketball to be his sport and is grateful for the opportunity to play for Opava. He has been training extensively, both individually in Prague and with the team in Opava. Despite his age, Trojan is determined to give his best performance and ensure that people have a great experience watching him play.
Czudek, who is also Trojan’s coach, described him as a perfectionist with big goals. He emphasized that Trojan’s participation in the game is not just a casual event but a serious endeavor. Czudek believes that Trojan will enjoy the experience and hopes that he will continue playing basketball beyond this one game.
Trojan has made adjustments to his lifestyle as part of his preparation for the game. He experienced some muscle strain and knee pain, which made him realize that he needs to approach his training differently than when he was younger. He now takes a more thoughtful approach to avoid injuries and ensure his performance is at its best.
Czudek mentioned that Trojan’s appearance in the game will not be a one-time occurrence. It won’t be a simple cameo where Trojan grabs the ball, waves, and leaves. Instead, they are planning to create specific scenes and moments during the game. While they don’t know exactly how the game will unfold, they will focus on defensive and offensive strategies, which will be fine-tuned after Christmas. Trojan will join the team four days before the game and will make several appearances on the court throughout the match.
The basketball game will also serve as a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Club, an organization that Trojan has been supporting for a long time. This adds an additional meaningful aspect to Trojan’s participation in the game.
