Slavia remizovala s Drážďany před 17 tisíci diváky, dramatické okamžiky se odehrály v závěru.

Slavia Prague drew 1-1 with Dynamo Drážďany in their final friendly match before the start of the new season. Slavia did not field any of their summer signings in the starting lineup, as Sinyan and Wallem were unavailable due to injury, while Ševčík and Plavšić were also sidelined. In defense, Kačaraba was given a chance alongside the regular starters, and Pech played in an unusual central midfield role.

The atmosphere at Eden Stadium was electric, with over four thousand fans in attendance. Before the match, Slavia unveiled their new home and away kits, playing one half in the traditional red and white colors and the other half in a mint green color.

Slavia dominated the game and had more chances, but failed to convert them into goals. Jurečka, the top scorer of last season’s league, missed a one-on-one opportunity, Van Buren hit the post from a tight angle, and Holeš missed a great chance. After an hour of play, Slavia’s coaches made all 10 outfield substitutions, which led to some moments of confusion on the pitch. In the 88th minute, Drážďany took the lead through Schäffler’s header from a corner. However, Slavia quickly responded, with Schranz equalizing just a minute later after a solo run and a shot that hit the post.

Despite their dominance, Slavia couldn’t find a winning goal even in the eight minutes of added time. This draw ended their four-match winning streak in preseason. Slavia will now prepare for their first league match against Hradec Králové next Saturday.
