Nigerian football player Durosinmi has not played since his knee surgery in October, but a medical examination in Frankfurt allegedly revealed another health problem. According to the media, the clubs agreed on a transfer fee of around nine million euros (approximately 222 million Czech crowns).
„We operated on the injured part of the knee after the injury in Liberec, where he had injured his collateral ligaments. However, at the end of the autumn season, the examination and increased interest from larger clubs persuaded both the player and us to reoperate on the knee,“ said Sadek, the team’s spokesperson. „Currently, he is undergoing rehabilitation after the reoperation of the anterior cruciate ligament, and with one hundred percent certainty, he will not play in this season. We will see how the knee heals and how prepared he will be for the next season,“ added Sadek.
Before the injury, the Lagos-born player scored the most goals in the league this season, with six goals. He also added three goals in the preliminary rounds of the European Conference League. Durosinmi came to Plzen in January last year from Karvina on loan, which turned into a permanent transfer in the summer. In the Czech top league, the tall striker has played 45 matches, scored 13 goals, and provided six assists.
