Slavia Prague Signs Norwegian Player El Hadji Diouf
Slavia Prague, one of the top football clubs in the Czech Republic, has announced the signing of Norwegian player El Hadji Diouf. The club’s sporting director, Jiří Bílek, expressed his satisfaction with the acquisition, stating that Diouf has made significant progress during his time at Tromsø and can be a great addition to Slavia.
Diouf himself is thrilled to join such a prestigious team. He expressed his happiness at joining Slavia and mentioned that he had spoken to his compatriot Abdallah Sima, who had previously played for the club and had only positive memories of his time there. Diouf is looking forward to playing for Slavia and making his mark on the team.
The 15-goal scorer from the Norwegian Eliteserien is the fifth player to join Slavia from the league in the past year. He joins the ranks of Igoh Ogbu (Lillestrøm), Christos Zafeiris (Haugesund), Sheriff Sinyan (Molde), and Conrad Wallem (Odds).
Slavia Prague, whose owner is billionaire Pavel Tykač, has been active in the transfer market during the winter break. They have already signed goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk from Plzeň and defender Ondřej Zmrzlý from Olomouc. The club has also secured the services of defender Štěpán Chaloupka, who will finish the season with Teplice before joining Slavia in the summer.
The signing of El Hadji Diouf is seen as another step in Slavia Prague’s ambition to strengthen their squad and compete at the highest level. With the addition of talented players from Norway and other leagues, Slavia hopes to continue their success in domestic and international competitions.
